Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of encaustic painting through 1, 2 or 3-day intensive workshops, designed for all levels —from curious beginners to experienced artists looking to expand their practice.
We’ll work with hot wax, pigments, and contemporary techniques in a supportive, creative, and thoughtfully guided environment. You’ll learn the essential foundations of encaustic, along with expressive approaches you can integrate into your own artistic process.
As part of the experience, a guided walking tour of the Lake of Banyoles is included, a unique natural setting that invites observation, connection, and inspiration. This time outside the studio offers space to slow down, gather ideas, and let the landscape inform your creative work.
These workshops are offered on an open enrollment basis, with flexible scheduling throughout the year.

My two‑day encaustic workshop with Andrea was absolutely perfect. I wanted to focus specifically on encaustic photography, and she tailored the entire experience to that goal. Andrea came fully prepared with all the materials we needed and clearly guided me through how to properly prepare my photographs so they’d work beautifully with encaustic techniques. Her teaching style is so natural and intuitive that it never felt like “instruction” — it felt like creatively exploring something new and exciting. It’s a practice I continue regularly now that I’m back home.
Traveling from the U.S. was remarkably easy. Flying into Barcelona and taking the train to Girona was seamless. Her studio is located in the charming town of Banyoles, where you can stroll through the old town enjoying great restaurants and shops and soaking in the atmosphere. Lake Banyoles is just a short trip away and is absolutely lovely — perfect for walking, birdwatching, and enjoying a lakeside vermut.
This workshop was a truly enriching creative experience, both artistically and personally.
